Avon Romania and Garanti Bank launch the first perfumed card of South Eastern Europe
October 20 2008 - Avon, together with GE Money and Garanti Bank, launched the first MasterCard credit card available exclusively addressing its direct clients, issued on a regional level (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia). The card may be used for purchasing Avon products, as well as for any kind of shopping in Romania or abroad, within the available credit limit. The card issuing fee is zero, the administration fee is zero for the first year. The cardholder benefits from a grace period of 50 days and receives 15 loyalty points from Avon when the card is activated.
"We are glad that Garanti Bank is the issuer of Avon card on the Romanian market. Besides its special design, Avon card has an incorporated chip and rewards cardholders with loyalty points, every time they shop, with enhanced security'' Ilgaz Kaya, Cards Director, Garanti Bank, stated.
By the end of the year the card will be available to the most faithfull Avon direct clients in two versions: fragranced and business, while starting January 2009 any eligible direct customer may enjoy its benefits. The perfumed edition uses Little Black Dress fragrance, which is the most apreciated Avon product in Romania.
For the first time in Romania, woman owning the Avon card benefit from a medical insurance of up to RON 5,000 in case they are diagnosed with breast cancer.
