Garanti Bank changes the interest rates of deposits for individuals
March 17, 2009 - Garanti Bank changes the interest rates for deposits in RON and EUR over 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. For deposits placed by individuals in RON over 1 and 3 months, the interest rate increased to 14.25% per year and 14.75% per year respectively, while deposits over 12 months bear an interest rate of 14.00%, fix for the entire period. The interest rates for deposits in EUR over 1 and 3 months are 5.75% and 6.25%, respectively. Deposits are automatically renewed on the maturity date for a period equal to that of the initial deposit, at the interest rate applicable on the renewal date. The interest rate may be capitalized or transferred to the current account.
Besides this increase, Garanti Bank offers its new clients 0.25% higher interest rate for any deposit, for any tenor, in any currency. New clients are the individuals who come for the first time at Garanti Bank and who acquire any product or service offered by the Bank. The offer is valid until 30 June 2009.
