Garanti Bank issued 50,000 credit cards
25.05.2009 The number of Bonus Card holders, the credit card offered by Garanti Bank, exceeded 50,000. Bonus Card is the first multi-branded chip card in Romania, a smart payment tool which rewards consumers with bonuses for each purchase they make.
In consideration of the market evolution, starting June some changes will occur in the product features: the maximum limit for Bonus Card will be increased from RON 65,000 to RON 100,000 and the minimum payment ratio will decrease from 5% to 3% of the credit used.
"We are glad that in less than a year the number of Bonus Card holders increased 5 times, registering now more than 50,000 clients. It was a year in which extended significantly our acceptance network, which now consists of more than 3,200 POS terminals. At the same time, in order for our Bonus Card holders to enjoy the benefits of the card in as many locations as possible, we increased the number of merchant partners to 1,100. We have launched many campaigns offering additional benefits such as up to 90 days grace period, up to 12 interest free installments and higher amount of bonuses", Ilgaz Kaya, Cards Director, Garanti Bank, stated.
