Garanti Online, the internet banking services of Garanti Bank, has more than 20,000 users
15.07.2009 - Garanti Online, the internet banking service of Garanti Bank, registered more than 20.000 users at the end of June, by 4 times higher than at the end of 2008. Garanti Online was launched in October 2007, initially for individuals, while since May 2008 it is also available for entities.
The number of transactions carried out through Garanti Online in the first half of this year doubled as compared to the end of last year, one of five customers being a user of this service.
In the first half of this year, Garanti Bank developed new functionalities for this services, allowing individuals and companies to make inter-bak payments in FCY of up to EUR 100,000 and foreign exchanges at preferential rates. At the same time, starting this year, companies may use the new menu „Salary payments" in order to transfer easily and quickly the salaries in their employees’ accounts, irrespective if these are opened with Garanti Bank or any other bank.
"Since the launch of this service, we have continued to develop multiple functionalities, many of which are premieres on the Romanian market. The rapid increase in the number of users, of 4 times in 6 months, this confirms the attractiveness and utility of this service, which makes customers save time and money.", Okan Yurtsever, Director Retail Banking & Bancassurance, Garanti Bank, stated.
