Bonus Card customers made free purchases worth RON 1 million in 2009
22.02.2010 – The holders of Bonus Card, the credit card issued by Garanti Bank, made free purchases worth RON 1 million in 2009, using the bonus collected from the transactions paid with this card.
In 2009, Bonus Card exceeded 80,000 holders, double as compared to the end of 2008. This increase was mainly due to the significant number and variety of the campaigns carried out throughout the year, offering attractive dicounts, the possibility of shopping in installments without any interest rate or commission, as well as higher bonuses. Besides the bonus collected at shopping, Bonus Card holders may also benefit from an extra 20 RON bonus obtained for every new customer to whom they recommended Bonus Card. This bonus may be obtained within the “Member Get Member” campaign, valid until December 31st, 2010.

Bonus Card is the first multi-branded chip card in Romania, a smart payment tool which rewards consumers with bonuses for each purchase they make. Within the partner merchant network in Romania, totalizing more than 1,700 merchants, the users may make purchases in maximum 18 installments without interest rate and fees and may earn bonuses of 1-10% for each transaction made with Bonus Card. Cardholders may use the bonuses collected from transactions for free shopping within this network.
