Garanti Bank launches Bonus Card with mirror, the credit card designed for women
3.03.2010 - In March, Garanti Bank celebrates women’s month by launching a product dedicated to ladies – Bonus Card with mirror credit card, an innovative product on the local market. The new product, issued under MasterCard logo, combines all the functionalities of a credit card, offering in addition a mirror as accessory.
Together with its merchant partners, Garanti Bank develops dedicated campaigns for its ladies customers who will use Bonus Card with mirror, including special bonuses at beauty salons, an increased number of interest-free installments and discounts at jewelry, clothes or accessories shops.
“Taking into consideration that almost 60% of the 80,000 Bonus Card holders are women, we launch today Bonus Card with mirror, the first card of this type on the Romanian market, meant to offer ladies not only a pleasant shopping experience through dedicated offers, but also a useful personal accessory. In Turkey, this product was launched 3 years ago and enjoyed significant success, due to both its double functionality – credit card and mirror, as well as to the benefits included”, Ilgaz Kaya, Cards Director of Garanti Bank stated.
Bonus Card with mirror is a credit card that offers its users all the benefits included within Bonus Card loyalty program, such as a bonus received as percentage of the amount spent in more than 25 million shops all over the world, but also special benefits for women. Within the partner merchant network in Romania, totalizing more than 1,700 merchants, the users may make purchases in maximum 18 installments without interest and fees and may earn bonuses of 1-10% for each transaction made with Bonus Card with mirror. Cardholders may use the bonuses collected from transactions for free shopping within this network.
The new Bonus Card with mirror may be obtained from any Garanti Bank agency, calling Alo Garanti 0800 80 1234 (free toll number from any telephony network) or upon the recommendation of a Bonus Card holder, within “Member Get Member” campaign. At the same time, the customers who already hold a Bonus Card and choose the new model with mirror may request the new card, without additional costs, having the possibility of also keeping the standard card.
In 2009, Bonus Card exceeded 80,000 holders, double as compared to the end of 2008. This increase was mainly due to the significant number and variety of the campaigns carried out throughout the year, offering attractive discounts, the possibility of shopping in installments without any interest rate or commission, as well as higher bonuses.
