Garanti Turkey was awarded "Best Bank in Turkey" for the 10th time
19.07.2010 – Garanti Turkey, the mother bank of the local subsidiary Garanti Bank, was awarded “Best Bank in Turkey” for the 10th time by Euromoney, one of the world leading international financial publications.
The award was granted following a complex analysis carried out by specialized economic journalists, renowned bankers, clients and independent analysts. Each year, the excellence awards of Euromoney publications are offered to financial and banking institutions obtaining the best performance in the private sector.
Ergun Özen, General Manager of Garanti Turkey, stated: “Our success is being approved through independently conducted surveys in Turkey and abroad. As Garanti Bank we have received this award -which is given to one single bank from Turkey each year- for the 10th time. This is very valuable for us. Following this path, we get closer to our vision of “becoming the best bank of Europe”. Garanti Turkey, the mother bank of Garanti Bank, registered in the first quarter of 2010 a net consolidated profit of more than EUR 530 million and consolidated assets of EUR 56.6 billion. Euromoney also granted Garanti Turkey the award “Best managed company in Central and Eastern Europe” both in 2009 and 2010.
