Garanti Bank awarded "Highest growth of assets in Top 11-20 banks"
21.07.2010 – Garanti Bank was awarded „Highest growth of assets among Top 11-20 banks in Romania” during the third edition of „Top Bankers Gala”. „Top Bankers” awards, organized by Finmedia, were attributed based on an ample analysis of the banking system at the end of 2009.
Garanti Bank, one of the most dynamic and innovative banks in the market, currently exceeded 1 billion EUR in assets and continues its development plans, aiming to reach a 50% increase of its assets, as well as a 40% increase in loans and deposits. Furthermore, by the end of 2011, the bank is planning to double the number of branches nationwide and reach a total of 100 agencies.

In 2009, the bank registered significant developments in regards to its assets, loans, number of customers and products and services’ portfolio. The value of assets nearly doubled compared to 2008, reaching 830 million EUR, while the volume of loans grew by over 50%, reaching 550 million EUR. The number of clients reached almost 150.000 last year, more than three times higher than in 2008.
