Activating Your Ciframatic

After your Ciframatic has been delivered to you, you first need to immediately change the device’s standard PIN code before using it. The Ciframatic’s standard PIN code is 1234.

To change the Ciframatic’s standard PIN code:

• Press the button marked with an arrow at the bottom right of the Ciframatic’s keypad.

When the word "PIN" appears, enter the Ciframatic standard PIN code (1234).

• When the words "NEW PIN" appear, enter the 4-digit PIN code that you want to use. Your new PIN code must not consist of consecutive numbers (like "2356") or of repeated numbers (like "9999").

When "PIN CONF" appears, confirm the 4-digit PIN code that you just entered by entering it again.

• The appearance of "NEW PIN CONF" means that you’ve successfully changed your PIN code. Now you may turn on your Ciframatic with your new PIN code and create a new one-time password by pressing the arrow button. Each new password will be valid for 36 seconds.
• In order to log on to the garantibank.ro Online Banking using these One-Time PINs created with your Ciframatic, you should first activate your Ciframatic.
